EDM arms has done a bit of shooting with an Ops Inc .50 suppressor. I figured I would have a sleeve with a dual thread mount or use the threads I already have ( 1 1/2 -20 tpi my own bastard) on the end. the can would come back 8"-10" and probly feed back into the primary blast chamber just to create turbulance . I'd go with Inconel for the baffles and probly the main body. I've thought about off-setting it to help with hearing protection. issues also .Weight is not an issue as my muzzle brake ( shark like) is 5 1/2 lbs . the main problem is the volume ,heat , and pressures involved with the .50bmg. some type of ceramic or thermal coating (like swains piston coating )might help .I don't know if I'll ever get around to making one because of the cost of materiels but I would like one.
