Taurus magazines

The .500 S&W produced by Taurus magazines are few and far between these days and appear to be discontinued in their product line. I have searched for one for some time and I'm thinking those that have them will hang on to them...but checks here on the E&E and gunbroker.com may find one.

I think you'll only get into the 8" model in the Taurus magazines .500.

As an aside, I own every 6.5" Tracker model produced (not including any custom guns) by taurus, 6 weapons in all, and they are fine revolvers. Many will discount the maker based on earlier experiences but their manufacturing processes and customer service have improved temendously.

The world is changing and we are very aware of that at Bianchi Holsters International, which is why our product line continues to evolve to keep pace with todays customer demands. AR-15 Magazines

I've checked with distributors and at your web site and the only versions I see of your SS AR mags are with CS springs. Is there an option to order them with SS springs?? I know you guys are slammed right now and don't expect an immediate response but I'd sure like to add to my AR-15 Magazines "collection" if I can get "maintenance free" mags (SS bodies and SS springs). Thanks for providing the products and services that you do.

Trijicon

Other than that - I'm very thankful Trijicon made this scope. It's a perfect blend of precision and speed. It's eye relief, size, and FOV make for a fast & compact general purpose optic. For 10-300 yard shooting, this is in my opinion, the perfect ACOG. For shooting under 10 yards, it seems like it'd serve me well - I may toss some Bulter Creek Flip Caps on this one for an occluded option since the construction will allow for it! Trijicon, the caps will make the ACOG Scope Coat a thing of the past.

Something always kept me from hanging onto an ACOG. I feel the TA33R8 was made just for me!

If you're looking for an ACOG - don't overlook this guy. It is in my opinion the ultimate 10-300 yard SHTF ACOG for a 14.5"- 16" AR15. It's truly an amazing piece of glass.

beretta mini-cougar magazines

Like JohnStoner, I have two M9A1s with beretta mini-cougar magazines. Accuracy, reliability, and totally dependable in all weather- snow, rain, dry, heat and dust- whatever, NEVER a problem. About 4,500 rounds fired between the two of them. I've retired my Kimber 1911s, in favor of my Berettas. The Kimbers are strictly for loan WHEN TSHTF... The M9A1 is my "go to" handgun, and unlikely to change.

Yeah, you want two. One for each hand. That gives you forty-two shots before reloading, and two different direcions to shoot... Easy with a 9mm, but try it sometime with a pair of 9.5" Ruger Super Redhawks! I have, but I'll stick with the M9A1's, thanks... In all seriousness, the 9mm with the proper ammo, AND proper placement, is just as well going to take-out the trash, as my dusty Kimber Beretta 92 Magazine. I won't change back- no reason to.

Nope, the M9A1 is the choice of the Marine Embassy Security Details, and my choice as well... So too, are the Mec-Gar 20rd Anti-Friction Coated magazines, and the Pro-Mag 33rd Beretta 21Magazines, though I load only 32 in mine... Both magazines fit both of my CX4 Storms perfectly...

rparrish, I use Gold Dots, both 124gr and 147gr, and know that whatever I hit, is going to go d-o-w-n... Having 21 rounds in either gun, makes for a warm feeling... I can't really imagine a "real life" scenario for using 32rd magazines, but WHEN the SHTF, who knows? Having interchangable magazines with the CX4s, is a "good" thing...

To those who would try to compare the 1911 to the M9A1, I'd say, "beretta mini-cougar magazines, to yah, Buddy!" and "Why have only 11, with a Chip McCormick mag, when you can have 21?" Nah, that'd be petty. As I say, mine, my Kimber 1911s are now for loan-out when the SHTF... My best, I'm keeping for myself...

Magpul

went shooting today at Hernando Sportsman in Brooksville, FL. Chris Costa who runs the training division from MagPul was in the lane next to me. He had a couple of tricked out SBR's one MagPul lower, the other on a KAC platform, and .308 with a can. His kids were with him and he was teaching them to shoot. They looked like they were about 10 and had no problem hitting a 12"x14" steel plate at 100 yrds.

Colt 1911 magazine

There are several of the "production line" custom smiths like Wilson, Les Baer etc. that will sell you a super-accurate gun, if thats what you really want. Yes, they are expensive, but they are very very good. The last brand I would buy is a Colt 1911 magazine, not because they are bad but because they offer poor value... you are paying a premium price for the pony rollmark on the slide. A Colt makes sense for a collector or for someone with more money than sense, but otherwise you get more bang for your buck with non-Colt 1911 magazines brands.

One more point - bear in mind that, in general, 1911 accuracy is gained by tightening clearance in critical areas (barrel lockup, chamber, slide-to-frame etc.), and this can increase the propensity to malfunctions. For a carry gun, you do not want accuracy at the expense of reliability.

Glock 17 magazines

MO ,Just more complexity to potentialy cause problems, loose pins etc.

Besides, how could Glock 17 magazines do this without closing off the backstrap channel?Everyone knows that must remain open in order for a Glock to function properly!

If glock wants to follow the lead of other manufacturers, whose current designs more than likely will not even be on the market in ten years ,I think it would be a mistake!

If you cannot adjust to the Glock 17 magazine ergos the way they are ,you have lots of other choices.

AK-47

Finally, has anyone ever had an issue with stock screws backing out/coming loose?
I don't think loc-tite will work, with PLASTIC AK-47 stocks, so I was wondering if a tiny dab of clear silicone would work, to keep the screws from backing out? I have a buddy who has this problem. I know that ak-47 Holster company has always recommended to use a dab of clear silicone, on the threads of their holster screws, to act as a sort of Loc-Tite. The clear silicone has proven to work really well for me in that application.
Anyone else have a better idea, to use on the stock screws, in conjunction with plastic stocks????
Thanks for help with the above questions guys.
