I found the trailing to be WAY less pronounced in the EO Tech. The Aimpoint dot looks like a comet to me, the EO Tech dot looks like a dot. Safariland, Desantis, and some others use the FBI cant which I don’t like because I have to wear them near the rear pocket. This can cause back problems with some people. A husband and wife were at home asleep with their three young children in their Santa Rosa, Calif. home when the family dogs alerted them to an intruder. The wife went to investigate and found a burglar outside dismantling a window screen in an attempt to get into the home. The wife alerted her husband, who retrieved a gun, confronted the criminal and detained him until police could arrive. When police took the burglar into custody they discovered he was carrying a 2-foot length of pipe, for which he was charged with being in possession of a dangerous weapon.

A couple of posts later I added, Granted it was alot worse in the bad old days of the assault weapons ban, when we were paying $30 a pop for pre-ban mags that were already used up, but still, look at how many companies offer a blinding variety of followers and springs to try to crutch the stanag scope mount arms #21 magazine. How many aftermarket “increased reliability” followers and springs do you see for AK47 magazines? Now that’s a mag that is combat ready. I will give you this–the MSAR hasn’t been out long enough to determine whether it, or its mags, is truly “combat ready.” People need to take them out and thrash them, take classes with them, take them hunting, use them in competition for a few years, and then we’ll know for sure. But to say the stanag scope mount arms #21 mag is better than the MSAR mag in an apples-to-apples comparison is an ignorant statement at this time. I’m really surprised at the number of people who seem incredibly attached to the stanag scope mount arms #21 design and won’t buy a semi-auto rifle that takes any other magazine. I’ve seen/heard of issues with the SPXs. Also, I’m not a fan of the sights on the SPX. I’ve got a standard 930 with a fiber optic bead-type sight (much better for 3-gun IME). I personally know two other guns that set their 930s up like mine and none of us have had any real issues. I can shoot stationary targets just as well as a stocked gun, and small moving targets…..as small as clays, are more difficult, but still enough hits to have had many afternoons of fun.
