12/24/2009 7:16:18 AM In the late nineties I to bought that model in SS. I had a SS fetish, I liked the look. Things change however and that barrel sits here in wrap. A heavy match contour Krieger 1-10 CM steel barrel now is attached to that receiver. The receiver, USGI bolt/op rod and NM flash hider are the only things left of the original rifle. Crazy just just how far the love of a rifle might take you. You'll see. Along with a few mags I'd suggest you fling the stamped steel spring guide with a quality NM unit right away. For the minimal cost and ease of replacement you'll be happer than you already are with your new rifle. You'll feel the difference it makes.
