Will the bayonet lug accept standard M-7, and M-9 bayonets?, what bayonet is normaly issued with the 590?....
Are there any other accachments that will fit on the bayonet lug?....
Whats the ratio between 590's, and other millitary tactical shotguns currently in use, which is more common?....
What shells does the millitary use?....
As you may have already guessed I felt my collection was in need of a millitary tactical shotgun so I went out, and bought one, now I'm flush with questions....

Sorry, I be having no answers... but I thought it was the 590A1 that they used and not the 590?

It is the A1 model, with the heavy barrel.

I didn't have a Mossberg 500 Accessories 590 in Iraq, we carried old Winchester 1200 Defenders (wooden stock, 5 round capacity, heat shield)
But the one part of the question I can answer is we carried Federal 00 buck shells.

The Mesa Tactical, not so as the Endine Buffer is the recoil system and the weapon has to be shouldered. SpecOps works when fired correctly and is worth the cost. Mesa Tactical works and is worth the cost.
