I am a fan of the polymer furniture over the woodgrain and like tapco‘s effort towards the Saiga (I think wood furniture looks very very nice, its just not for me.) Now as for the stock I can’t say, I used SGM’s “direct fit” conversion and I am very happy with it. Installed fast, easy and also very secure and well made. I will try and get a picture up here for you in a little bit. Edit: Picture added. I picked up a couple of tapco 30 rd mags at a gun show. When I got home they would not fit. I have a Romanian WASR 7.62. Has anyone had any experience with the tapco polymers Melvin_Johnson

3/8/2012 6:23:32 PM After seeing this post for this bag being available from Amazon for 43.00, I ordered one and received it promptly. I got the 36″ black model. I can’t add a lot to FWest’s great review, other than just my initial reactions. Inside the main compartment, with the stock compressed fully, my AR with a small scope fits very well. There are two pockets to slip the stock and muzzle into to assist in holding the rifle securely. Also two velcro straps to further secure the rifle. Decent padding inside. The large inside pocket that zips to the main compartment has two velcro pockets that can easily accept a handgun. With a large frame handgun rug it makes closing the velcro a bit tight. You can easily stow a medium to large handgun in each pocket. When the bag is zipped shut, the outside pockets easily hold extra mags, boxes of ammo or whatever you need to carry, which brings me to my main concern. The bag is so roomy I tend to overload it with all the stuff I can get in there to the point that I can barely lug the thing around. (I’m a petite female). The bag does have an abundance of strapping and cinching material and buckles to make everything compact and neat and secure. My only other concern is that the outside ammo pouches are lined with a plastic material that may not stand up over time. However, time will tell. For a 43.00 bag, it’s pretty hard to beat. For the range I think it’s excellent. For more robust use, I may have to find a heavier duty bag. Thanks to everyone for the heads up on a great value bag. I know these pics don’t help much with the dark color of the black bag, but I’ll post ‘em up anyway. I need a new shotgun soft case for my Browning O/U. I am debating the Ace Case and an Uncle Mike Holsters . I have owned an Ace Case rifle case and it is great I’ve had it for YEARS. Still looks new. Also,
