I have an question about their online website selling their uppers, however. It appears by the description (although the description is pretty sparse) that the back-up sights that they add to the uppers are simply Magpul plastic BUS’s. I actually like the Magpul sights, and don’t have a problem with that – but, you can easily find a set of front-and-back Magpul sights for around $85-$90 online. Yet the difference in cost of the BEAR Elite uppers, for example, between the ones with sights and the ones without is $123.04. So, are the sights they are selling something other than the “regular” polymer Magpul sights? Or are they just hoping people are willing to pay $30-40 for the convenience of getting them already installed on the gun (a process that actually takes about 2 minutes – for a noob)? Just wondering…

When the activation switch is rotated past the detent to lock it on, the recoil of the .40 is enough to release the switch and turn it off. Have to push it back on after every shot. It only has this problem in the clockwise direction, which unfortunately happens to be the most convenient way to activate it. If I strain my finger and turn it counter-clockwise instead, it stays on through multiple shots. Anybody else experience this weak detent on their Surefire X400? I had a similar problem. When I used my light i would switch it and the toggle would be “up” on my support hand side. Under recoil my thumb would bump the toggle down turning the light off, it was no fault of the light. When you say you rotate it clockwise I’m assuming the toggle is up on the support hand side (if you’re a righty)… try shooting strong hand only and see if the light still turns itself off stickhog Two men use Two men use Two men use M14 Scope Mounts Ghillie Suit I got more pics of it done and it in the woods. Ill track them down later and post them. I started this with DCU coveralls that I sprayed grn/brn. I tied my own netting out of a thicker nylon, I wanted a tuffer netting base. I sewed it and then went back over and Shoe Goo the stiches to reinforce them. I cut an old duffle bag up to reinforce the front of the suit. I used jute garden twine and BDU strips for the skin. It came out good still had to spray it to blend in perfect then once again this spring. Ill find those other pics and post later. I like the idea of the vents… thinking of turning by old ROTC BDUs into a Ghillie Suit suit once I have the time. BTW, where are you going to place your mags, pouches, etc since you placed netting and burlap at the front? If you’re talking to me, I assume you are, I only coyote hunt. Not planning for SHTF or actually using this in any combat scenario. I cut the flaps off the pockets so i could have easy access, somthing i wish i would hav done on my last Ghillie Suit . But I know that you are saying, I just dont plan on crawling around or carrying extra mags. AS i said, I designed this for my own purpose and my own needs. Ah oki, BTW, would you recommend spraypainting the colors instead of dying them onto the burlap? I’ve just received an Aimpoint Comp ML2, and while looking through it, I see a “spike” coming off the red dot, which gets worse as the brightness is turned up. I had similar problems with a Leupold red-dot, and I understand that the problem is not in the sights but in my eyes (I am nearsighted with astigmatism.) The spike stays fixed in the same position as I rotate the sight (eye problem, not an Aimpoint defect.) The spiking is bad enough to distract me from the central dot. Is there a similar effect with the EOTech ring-dot reticle? If the same problem does not exist, which EOTech version would you recommend? Thanks, Gabe JBritt
